Happy Hump Day! I didn't understand that phrase until recently, I honestly thought it was a bit saucy originally. I'm very dim sometimes! Anyway, what better way to help you through your mid-week hump than a nose in my Swag Bags from the Debenhams #DebsBeautyBuzz #FoundIt event? I love hauls and 'morning/evening routines' in other blogs and on YouTube. I'm such an old woman, I just love knowing other peoples business.
Firstly, I must say a massive thank you to Debenhams themselves. After hearing all about their wonderful Personal Shopper service, each blogger who attended was gifted a €50 voucher. Now I know generosity like this is probably the norm, but wow, this was my first event and I really was not expecting this. I figured we would probably get goodie bags from some of the brands we were speaking with, but I honestly didn't expect to just be handed a voucher of this value. Even thinking of it has me slack jawed. I was so taken aback that, instead of purchasing a serum that I should invest in, or a cleansing oil I've wanted to try for a while, or even a make up essential I adore but can't justify the price right now, I instead bought an absolute unnecessary luxury that I love more than words already (and I'll be doing a seperate blog post about after Christmas) and a mini of the Perversion mascara that I've wanted to try for ages. And I would have been beyond grateful for all this alone.
We then rocked up to Benefit who gifted us the cutest items ever. We were given this absolutely adorable cosmetics case and the most beautiful luggage tag, both with the motto "Laughter Is The Best Cosmetic!". Before I go any further, there is absolutely no need for how adorable these items are. I 'ooohh'ed and 'aaahh'ed at these like they were the children of relations. Then at the bottom of the bag, my life was made. A mini Porefessional and License to Blot (think blotting paper in stick form). The packaging for this set is beyond adorable. I love Benefit as a brand, I think their attention to detail is flawless. I will use this cosmetics bag to death, I'm gifting the luggage tag to one of my besties, as I will be doing with the primer (I already have two on the go, and I love converting people to this product), but I will be keeping the blotting stick. I hate bringing any make up on nights out, I'm always afraid of losing it, so I never have any powder for touch ups and am always a reflective mess by the end of a night. Looking forward to trying this product out, as it's so compact. Will probably do a mini review on my Facebook for anyone interested?
If I thought Benefit and Debenhams were generous, I don't even know what to make of Urban Decay. We got teeny tiny minis of two of my Holy Grail items; the Eyeshadow Primer Potion and the All Nighter Setting Spray. I won't do my make up without either of these products. My eyelids are so oily that the Inglot AMC liner in 77 smudges about halfway through the day without the primer, let alone the creasing of my eyeshadows. And my make up just looks so much more vivid and HD with this spray. I feel like such a badass every time I spritz it. No idea why, I just do and I love it. We were given a 7 Days Of Shadow deluxe sampler, which the brand have never done before. I won't say much about it as I'm thinking of doing a facial look book built around the shades. There's a purple and a green I would never dream of using normally, so I'm excited to do something like this. Each of us got a full sized single eyeshadow too. I got the shade Stray Dog and I'm weak for it. It's the perfect mid-tone taupe. Just a bit of a sheen. This will work all over the lid as well as the crease. And I think it'll really make my blue eyes pop! I'll try to incorporate this into a few looks and spam my Instagram, for anyone who's interested. We ended our whirlwind beauty tour at Urban Decay and I couldn't think of a brand I'd rather have finished with. I cannot wait to put all the make up on my face at once.
There's no two ways about it, we were absolutely spoilt by Debenhams, Benefit and Urban Decay. I didn't start my blog to get free stuff , I started it because I'm passionate about beauty and writing. To have my friends tell me they enjoyed my last blog still blows my mind, and having brands like these give me anything is too much for words. Thank you so much for reading my blog, and to the brands mentioned for an amazing evening. Also a huge thanks to Bare Minerals for the very generous sample of Lash Domination and their BareSkin foundation. The kind girl gave me a shade to match me and one a good bit darker, so I can finally attempt some liquid/cream contouring! Any reviews/looks/posts you'd like to see after hearing what I was given in my Swag Bags? I'm also thinking of doing a comparison post on my two new mascaras? As always, feel free to comment here, or through my Instagram, Facebook, or Tweet me!
Love,
MyBuzzyBeauty
